CELEBRATION DINNER 2023
There are places in the earth where evil reigns uncontested, filled with hopelessness and despair. They contain billions of souls around the world who are imprisoned by sin and destruction. These are forgotten places where the cry for God’s kingdom has not been heard by the Church. The enemy taunts us loudly that rescuing these people groups is impossible. What Christian witness is present in these places has been hindered by tradition and mutual suspicion. The church in is often so divided that when gospel preachers come, the response is bitter skepticism instead of hopeful enthusiasm. Even the hearts of believers come to believe that bringing light is impossible.
But Jesus said that He would build His kingdom, that the kingdom of darkness would be overcome, and that people would find freedom through Him, because God is able to do immeasurably more than anything we ask or think. What was impossible has become possible through the blood of the Lamb and the word of the church’s testimony. What was incredibly rare and unique has happened over and over again when City for the Nations joins the local church in loving these lost souls. We have stepped out and observed God work when people plant His word. We have obeyed our calling to promote unity and equip the saints in their mission to bring the gospel to those trapped in darkness. From the deepest desert to the highest mountains, we are seeing the Kingdom of Light break the power of the kingdom of darkness. With God’s Spirit racing ahead of us to the dark corners of the earth, we’re ready to run with the horses.
Join us for an evening of experiencing testimonies of God accomplishing the impossible and dinner as we worship, reflect, and share about what God has next for City for the Nations.
