Write down every person you interacted with this week. Then cross out the names of any person you know for sure is following Jesus.

What did your list look like with the Christians removed? Are you surprised by it?

Read Luke 5:27-29.

When Levi begins to follow Jesus, who else gets brought into proximity to Jesus?

What do you think brought those tax collectors into a dinner party with Jesus?

Who in your life do you have connections to who don’t yet know Jesus?

Read John 4:25-42.

After the woman learns who Jesus is, what does she do? Who does she go to?

What does the woman say? Does it surprise you that it led to the reactions that it did? Why do you think her testimony had such weight?

Why did the townspeople first believe? By the end of the story, what has changed? What does this tell you about the evangelistic task?
